Pizza Pie

Ingredients:

  • 1 9-inch pie crust

  • 1 pound lean ground beef

  • 1 teaspoon avocado oil

  • ½ of one onion, diced

  • 1 green bell pepper, diced

  • 1 Tbsp Italian seasoning

  • ½ Tbsp Oregano

  • 3/4 cup and 1/2 cup Pizza sauce, divided

  • Pepperoni

  • Mozzarella cheese

  • Optional: add any other pizza toppings you normally enjoy!

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400° Fahrenheit.

  2. Place pie crust in pie dish. Crimp edges and poke holes in bottom of crust using tines of fork. Bake pie crust 13 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.

  3. While pie crust bakes, add ground beef to skillet and brown over medium heat.

  4. Drain any fat from browned ground beef, then transfer beef to a bowl. Set aside. Add avocado oil, onion, and bell pepper to skillet. Cook until vegetables are soft.

  5. Return ground beef to skillet. Add 3/4 cup pizza sauce.

  6. Spread the 1/2 cup pizza sauce at the bottom of cooked pie crust. Then transfer meat mixture.

  7. Top with cheese and Pepperoni. (and any other pizza toppings you normally enjoy!)

  8. Bake 6 minutes or until cheese is melted and golden.

  9. Remove from oven, slice into 8 slices, and serve!
